A cat café for Korçë.

We want Happy Cats, Happy Life to become a rescue cat café in Korçë: a welcoming little place with dependable cat care, good coffee and people who care about both.

We want to get started as soon as we can. For now, that means caring for these two kittens while doing the practical work that a café needs.

What we're working towards

Our idea is to have a front area where people can spend time with suitable cats, drinks prepared behind a counter, and possibly cakes from a local bakery. The layout will depend on finding the right space and confirming what the authorities allow.

Before we commit to premises, we need suitable separation, permissions, real rent and improvement quotes, and a reliable plan for the cats' daily care. There isn't an opening date yet.

Starting together

We're willing to contribute our own funds alongside public support. The intended startup costs are cat care, rent and modest improvements to a suitable space. We haven't yet confirmed the detailed budget or our contribution amount.

The budget also needs to make caring sustainable. That means considering paid founder work, staff and dependable cover when we're away. Roles, amounts and the way those costs are funded still need to be agreed and explained.

We're deciding which legal structure best supports the cats and a sustainable café. At this stage, Happy Cats, Happy Life is an independent project, not a registered charity.

Following the progress

Our Ko-fi page is a way to support the beginning. We'll keep cat-care costs and café setup costs identifiable, and share confirmed contributions and spending as our records come together.

Following, sharing our story or bringing local knowledge also helps. A suitable space, a dependable carer or an introduction can make a difference.

We'll keep this journal updated as the plans become real. Thank you for wanting to be part of it.
